Black Adder Remastered IV: Goes Forth

Movie / Show Details

Blackadder Goes Forth is a 1989 British comedy series created by Ben Elton and Richard Curtis, directed by Richard Boden. The fourth installment in the long-running Blackadder franchise, this season relocates the action to World War I, where Edmund Blackadder and his dim-witted sidekick Baldrick find themselves stationed in the trenches. Alongside Captain Darling and the oblivious General Melchett, Blackadder hatches increasingly desperate schemes to avoid the horrors of trench warfare. The ensemble cast features Rowan Atkinson as Blackadder, Tony Robinson as Baldrick, Hugh Laurie as the upper-class George, Stephen Fry as General Melchett, and Tim McInnerny as Captain Darling.

This DVD release presents the remastered version of the complete series on a single disc, with a runtime of two hours and fifty-six minutes and a TV-PG rating. Originally broadcast by the BBC, this edition comes from Adult Swim and captures the sharp wit and historical humor that made Blackadder a beloved fixture of British television.
