M*A*S*H’s fourth season aired in 1975, continuing the military comedy-drama set at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War. Starring Alan Alda, Harry Morgan, and Jamie Farr, the season marks significant changes for the unit. Hawkeye returns from leave to discover his tentmate Trapper has been sent stateside, and he must adjust to working with his replacement, Captain B.J. Hunnicutt. Meanwhile, Colonel Sherman T. Potter arrives to assume command of the hospital, replacing the previous leadership. The medical staff navigate these transitions while using humor and camaraderie to cope with the demands of wartime surgery and the absurdity of their situation.

This collector’s edition DVD set contains all three discs of season four, with a total runtime of 10 hours and 25 minutes and a TV-PG rating. The season was produced by CBS and directed by Alan Alda, Burt Metcalfe, and Gene Reynolds, with writing by James Fritzell, Larry Gelbart, and Richard Hooker.
