Starring Alan Alda, Jamie Farr, David Ogden Stiers, and Harry Morgan, the series explores how the doctors and nurses use humor and pranks to cope with the harsh realities of wartime. Season Eight, which aired in 1980, brings significant changes to the unit, including Radar’s departure and Klinger’s transition into the role of company clerk. Throughout the season, the 4077th faces new challenges both from incoming wounded and unexpected visitors, while the characters reveal new dimensions of themselves.
