Where the Road Meets the Sun is a 2011 drama directed by Mun Chee Yong that explores the lives of immigrants in Los Angeles. The film follows several characters whose paths intersect at a modest hotel: Blake, an estranged man running the establishment; Guy, a carefree British drifter; Julio, an undocumented worker from Mexico sending money home to support his family; and Takashi, a Japanese gangster who awakens from a coma and travels to LA searching for the woman he loves. As these four strangers form unexpected bonds, their contrasting backgrounds and motivations create a character-driven narrative that captures a pivotal moment in each of their lives.
