Ghost Army is a 2013 PBS documentary directed by Rick Beyer that tells the story of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, a remarkable American military unit deployed during World War II. Rather than engaging in traditional combat, this unconventional group used inflatable tanks, sound effects, phony radio transmissions, and theatrical performances to deceive German forces across European battlefields. From June 1944 through March 1945, the unit staged twenty battlefield deceptions, starting in Normandy and continuing until reaching the Rhine River. Featuring interviews with Bill Nighy, Peter Coyote, and Wesley Clark, the film explores how creativity and ingenuity became weapons of war.

This single-disc DVD release runs 68 minutes and carries a TV-PG rating from Plate of Peas Productions. A fascinating look at an overlooked chapter of military history, this documentary is an engaging addition to any collection of World War II media, and you can own this used copy at a fraction of retail cost.
