Baseball: The Tenth Inning is a 2010 PBS documentary series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that serves as a four-hour follow-up to Burns’s acclaimed 1990s Baseball series. Spanning from the early 1990s to the present day, this two-episode installment examines pivotal moments and figures in America’s national pastime, including the labor disputes of the decade, the emergence of Latino players from the Dominican Republic and beyond, the Yankees’ resurgence, and the 1998 home-run chase between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. The series explores how baseball functioned as both an escape from and a mirror of American culture during these years, while also addressing the steroid scandal that would eventually taint the sport’s records and reputations.

This single-disc DVD release runs four hours across two episodes and comes from PBS. Bill Nighy and Keith David provide narration alongside various personalities from the baseball world. A used copy from us means you can own this documentary without the cost of a new release.
