Michael Wadleigh directed this 1970 documentary that captures the legendary Woodstock Music & Art Festival held in 1969. The film presents concert footage, interviews with performers including Joan Baez, Richie Havens, and The Who, and intimate portraits of the half-million attendees who gathered for the three-day event. Beyond documenting the music, the film serves as a historical record of America during the Vietnam War era, reflecting the counterculture movement and the spirit of a generation seeking peace and change through rock and roll.

This is the Director’s Cut on DVD, presented across 2 discs with a runtime of three hours and four minutes, rated R. Warner Bros. released this restored version, which includes eight segments that were edited out of the original 1970 theatrical release. The film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary and remains a landmark achievement in concert filmmaking. Own this essential piece of music and social history on physical media at a used price.
