Two and a Half Men is a 2003 comedy series created by Chuck Lorre that follows a wealthy bachelor whose comfortable Malibu existence takes an unexpected turn when his newly divorced brother and young son move into his home. Charlie Sheen stars as the carefree jingles writer who enjoys a life of leisure, while Jon Cryer plays his uptight, recently evicted brother Alan. Angus T. Jones rounds out the main cast as Jake, Alan’s impressionable son. The show mines comedy from the clash between Charlie’s hedonistic lifestyle and Alan’s rigid, disapproving nature as the two brothers and the boy navigate life under one roof.
