Anthony Geffen directed this 2010 documentary that weaves together two parallel stories separated by 75 years. In 1924, British explorer George Mallory embarked on an expedition to become the first person to summit Mount Everest, equipped only with period gear and an unshakeable determination. Decades later, in 1999, renowned American mountaineer Conrad Anker discovered Mallory’s remains high in Everest’s death zone, a find that would connect Anker’s own life to Mallory’s legendary quest. Narrated by Liam Neeson and featuring voice work from Alan Rickman, Hugh Dancy, and Natasha Richardson, the film explores Mallory’s fateful climb and the mystery surrounding his disappearance just 800 feet from the summit.

This Blu-ray release from Altitude Films contains one disc with a runtime of 94 minutes and carries a PG rating. Bonus features include behind-the-scenes raw interviews, international trailers, and original notes from expedition team member Noel Odell.
