The Last Legion is a 2007 action-adventure film set during the collapse of the Roman Empire. Young Romulus Augustus, the last emperor of Rome and a descendant of Julius Caesar, flees the city and embarks on a quest to Britain in search of a legendary legion that might save his homeland. Guided by the wizard Ambrosinus, played by Ben Kingsley, and protected by the commander Aurelius, portrayed by Colin Firth, Romulus discovers Caesar’s legendary sword and must prove himself as an unlikely leader despite his youth and inexperience. The ensemble cast also includes Aishwarya Rai as a female warrior and John Hannah in supporting roles.

This single-disc DVD release runs 101 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from The Weinstein Company. Directed by Doug Lefler, the film combines swordfights, battles, and political intrigue as Romulus searches for the fabled last legion.
