Fred Astaire narrates this 1977 animated musical special directed by Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass, with a script by Romeo Muller. The story follows Sunny, a baby rabbit discovered by the children of Kidville, a town populated entirely by kids. As Sunny grows up, he befriends King Bruce, a seven-year-old from the neighboring adult town, and begins gifting him painted eggs as a token of friendship. This simple gesture sparks the birth of Easter traditions, as Sunny invents new customs like egg rolling, jellybeans, and chocolate bunnies to celebrate the holiday each year.

Warner Home Video released this G-rated special on a single DVD with a runtime of 50 minutes. The voice cast includes Bob McFadden and Skip Hinnant alongside Astaire’s narration, bringing the whimsical stop-motion world to life. Grab this used copy and experience a charming piece of holiday animation history.
