Bob Hope and Bing Crosby star in this four-film collection of Road To comedies from the 1940s, when the real-life friends were at the height of their popularity. Directed by David Butler, Hal Walker, and Victor Schertzinger, these films follow two con men as they travel to exotic destinations and find themselves in comedic predicaments. Dorothy Lamour joins the duo throughout their globe-trotting adventures, which blend slapstick humor with musical performances. The collection includes Road to Singapore, Road to Zanzibar, Road to Morocco, and Road to Utopia, each showcasing the chemistry and quick wit that made Hope and Crosby beloved by audiences.

This two-disc DVD set runs five hours and twenty-nine minutes and comes from Universal Studios. Bonus features include “Entertaining the Troops” segments, sing-alongs for “Sweet Potato Piper” and “The Road to Morocco,” and documentaries titled “Bob Hope and the Road to Success.” You’re getting a substantial piece of classic Hollywood comedy in a used format that costs considerably less than a new copy.
