CD Details
Van Morrison compiled this collection in 1993, drawing primarily from his recordings between 1984 and 1991. A period when commercial success eluded him, this volume showcases material that remains largely unfamiliar outside devoted fan circles. The album explores Morrison’s spiritual preoccupations and his mature examination of faith and religious experience through song. Tracks like “Real Real Gone” from Enlightenment and “In the Garden” from No Guru, No Method, No Teacher blend gospel influences with Irish folk traditions. Morrison rounds out the collection with selections from his 1960s work with Them, alongside covers including John Lee Hooker’s “Don’t Look Back” and Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now Baby Blue.”
This CD contains 15 tracks across a single disc, featuring “Coney Island,” “A Sense of Wonder,” and “I’ll Tell Me Ma” among the selections. A used copy from us means you can explore Morrison’s later, more introspective catalog without the cost of a new release.
