Take This Waltz is a 2011 Canadian drama directed by Sarah Polley that examines the fragility of marriage and the allure of desire. Michelle Williams stars as Margot, a woman content in her marriage to Lou (Seth Rogen), a cookbook author, until she meets Daniel (Luke Kirby), an artist who lives across the street. As chance repeatedly brings them together during a sweltering Toronto summer, Margot finds herself drawn to Daniel despite her commitment to her husband. The film explores what happens when restlessness and attraction challenge the stability of domestic life, ultimately suggesting that lasting fulfillment comes from self-acceptance rather than romantic love alone.

This single-disc DVD release runs 116 minutes and carries an R rating from Magnolia Pictures. The film is a deliberately paced, introspective work that relies on meaningful glances and subtle actions to convey emotion, with strong performances from Williams, Rogen, and Kirby. Grab this used copy and experience Polley’s thoughtful meditation on commitment and longing.
