Strawberry Shortcake: The Berryfest Princess is a 2010 animated film from Fox Searchlight Pictures directed by Bob Hathcock. When Strawberry Shortcake and Orange Blossom run for Berryfest Princess in the magical land of Berryland, their friendly competition teaches the community about the democratic process. Though the election initially threatens to divide their friends, Strawberry and her companions discover that people can vote based on different opinions without losing their friendships. However, when Strawberry wins and prepares for the celebratory parade, she learns that leadership comes with unexpected challenges. As stress mounts, the friends begin treating each other poorly, but ultimately they realize that working together and supporting one another through difficult times is what truly matters.
