A washed-up 1980s pop star gets an unexpected opportunity for a comeback when a current teen idol asks him to co-write and record a duet with her. Living off residuals from his glory days and performing at reunions and theme parks, he jumps at the chance but faces a creative problem: he excels at melodies but needs a lyricist, and the deadline is less than a week away.
