Leos Janacek’s Jenufa is an opera in three acts that premiered in 1902. This 1985 recording features conductor Charles Mackerras leading the performance, with soprano Elisabeth Soderstrom in the title role and baritone Dalibor Jedlicka as a principal cast member. The opera tells a dramatic story of love, jealousy, and redemption in a Moravian village setting.

This CD edition contains all three acts of the opera along with the Overture “Jealousy,” performed under Mackerras’s direction. A used copy of this classical recording offers you the chance to experience Janacek’s powerful operatic work at a fraction of retail cost.
