In the Electric Mist is a 2009 crime thriller directed by Bertrand Tavernier and based on James Lee Burke’s novel. Tommy Lee Jones stars as Lt. Dave Robicheaux, a detective in New Iberia who finds himself investigating a series of brutal murders while navigating the dangerous underworld of New Orleans mobster “Baby Feet” Balboni, played by John Goodman. As Robicheaux digs deeper into the case, he uncovers layers of corruption and long-buried secrets that stir up old grudges and unexpected alliances. The investigation pulls together past and present crimes in a shocking confrontation that becomes deeply personal for Robicheaux and those close to him. The ensemble cast also includes Levon Helm, Ned Beatty, and Peter Sarsgaard.

This DVD release from Image Entertainment runs 97 minutes and carries an R rating. The single disc features the film in its theatrical presentation, with a soundtrack that includes music from blues legend Buddy Guy.
