This 1945 double feature from Republic Pictures stars John Wayne in two Western tales. Flame of Barbary Coast follows Duke Fergus as he falls for the beautiful Flaxen in turn-of-the-century San Francisco’s Barbary Coast. After losing money to a crooked gambler named Tito, Duke returns home to learn the trade before coming back to win his fortune and open a nightclub with Flaxen as entertainer, only to have the devastating 1906 earthquake destroy everything. Santa Fe Stampede features the Mesquiteers pursuing a horse thief who escapes justice through a corrupt judge. When they gather signatures to petition the governor for an investigation, a friend carrying the petition is murdered and Stony finds himself accused of the crime.

Both films are presented on one DVD with a combined runtime of 91 minutes and a US Approved rating. The cast includes Ann Dvorak, Joseph Schildkraut, June Martel, Max Terhune, and Ray Corrigan, with direction by George Sherman and Joseph Kane. Grab this used double feature and enjoy two classic Westerns from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
