This 1945 double feature from Republic Pictures stars John Wayne in two Western tales. Flame of Barbary Coast follows Duke Fergus as he falls for the beautiful Flaxen in turn-of-the-century San Francisco’s Barbary Coast. After losing money to a crooked gambler named Tito, Duke returns home to learn the trade before coming back to win his fortune and open a nightclub with Flaxen as entertainer, only to have the devastating 1906 earthquake destroy everything. Santa Fe Stampede features the Mesquiteers pursuing a horse thief who escapes justice through a corrupt judge. When they gather signatures to petition the governor for an investigation, a friend carrying the petition is murdered and Stony finds himself accused of the crime.

Both films are presented on one DVD with a combined runtime of 91 minutes and a US Approved rating. The cast includes Ann Dvorak, Joseph Schildkraut, June Martel, Max Terhune, and Ray Corrigan, with direction by George Sherman and Joseph Kane.
