Elvis Presley took the stage at the Honolulu International Center in 1973 for a landmark concert event directed by Marty Pasetta. Featuring guitarist James Burton and bassist Jerry Scheff alongside the King, this live performance was broadcast via satellite to over 40 countries, reaching an estimated one billion viewers worldwide and making television history as the first-ever satellite-transmitted concert special. The setlist spans Elvis classics including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Suspicious Minds,” and “C.C. Rider,” capturing a pivotal moment in entertainment history.

This is a two-disc DVD edition with a runtime of 87 minutes, rated NR, released by NBC. Note that this version does not include Elvis’s performances of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” and “Johnny B. Goode” from the original concert, as music publishing clearances could not be renewed; this edited version is currently the only available release of this historic performance.
