Shattered by Kotori’s death, Kamui lies in a catatonic trance. Subaru delves into his mind, and tells him that if he dwells on his pain, “nothing will start, nothing will end.” Returning to consciousness, Kamui insists that the future is not foreordained: he has chosen to become a Dragon of Heaven. And he will rescue his friend Fuma, who has become the second Kamui, even though Fuma-Kamui has already developed his powers. All seven Dragons of Heaven and Dragons of Earth, have assembled; the battle is imminent.
