Wiseguy is a crime drama series that premiered in 1987, created by Stephen J. Cannell and Frank Lupo. Ken Wahl stars as Vincent Terranova, a charismatic undercover agent for the FBI’s Organized Crime Bureau who infiltrates the Italian mob while navigating the complexities of his double life and strained family relationships. Alongside Wahl, the cast includes Jonathan Banks as his gruff handler Frank McPike, Jim Byrnes as covert liaison Dan Burroughs, and Kevin Spacey, Ray Sharkey, and Jan Severance in supporting roles. The series pioneered a story-arc structure where each of Vinnie’s deep-cover assignments concludes when the case reaches its natural end, allowing for self-contained narratives that kept audiences invested in the outcomes.

This season one collection comes on 4 DVDs with a total runtime of approximately 17 hours and 44 minutes, rated TV-14. Produced by Stephen J. Cannell Productions, the set features the episodes that launched this innovative crime drama. Own this piece of television history on physical media at a used price.
