Movie / Show Details

Wanted: Dead or Alive is a western television series that premiered on CBS in 1959, starring Steve McQueen as Josh Randall, a bounty hunter with a conscience. Unlike the typical rough gunslinger of the Old West, Randall is a gentleman who regularly donates his reward money to charitable causes. Armed with a sawed-off 1892 Winchester rifle known as his “mare’s leg,” he pursues criminals across the frontier while protecting those in need and facing off against rival bounty hunters. The ensemble cast includes James Coburn, Michael Landon, Warren Oates, and John Breen, with direction by Don McDougall, R.G. Springsteen, and Thomas H. Carr.
