Vogues of 1938 is a 1937 musical comedy directed by Irving Cummings and written by Bella and Sam Spewack. Starring Warner Baxter, Joan Bennett, Alan Mowbray, and Helen Vinson, the film follows a boutique owner trying to balance his demanding customers and troubled marriage while preparing for a major fashion competition. When a wealthy young woman takes a modeling job at his shop, complications arise as he scrambles to create the season’s best show to outshine rival fashion houses at the Seven Arts Ball.
