Van Wilder: Freshman Year is a 2009 comedy directed by Harvey Glazer that follows a college freshman determined to shake up his campus social scene. Jonathan Bennett stars as Van, a student who sets his sights on breaking through a campus-wide chastity vow and throwing legendary parties. With an uptight Dean (Kurt Fuller) enforcing strict rules and the girls of Coolidge College committed to their pledge, Van launches an ambitious campaign to win over the campus hottie Kaitlin (Kristin Cavallari) and transform the party culture at his school. The film also features Jerry Shea, Meredith Giangrande, and was written by Brent Goldberg, David Wagner, and Todd McCullough.
