Ryan Reynolds stars in this 2002 comedy about Van Wilder, a perpetual college student at Coolidge College who has perfected the art of campus life. When his father cuts off tuition payments, Van transforms his legendary party-throwing skills into a moneymaking operation to fund his continued undergraduate years. As his business takes off, he catches the attention of Gwen Pearson, an ambitious student journalist set on uncovering the real story behind Van’s success. What starts as a battle of wills evolves into genuine romance as the two discover they have much to learn from each other, complicated by Gwen’s jealous boyfriend Richard, who will stop at nothing to reclaim his status on campus.
