Van Helsing: The London Assignment is a 2004 animated prequel to the Van Helsing film, directed by Sharon Bridgeman. Monster hunter Gabriel Van Helsing, voiced by Hugh Jackman, arrives in London to investigate a series of supernatural murders plaguing the city. The killer is Mr. Hyde, the sinister alter-ego of Dr. Jekyll, whose twisted scheme threatens the very heart of London. Featuring voice work from Hugh Jackman, Robbie Coltrane, David Wenham, and others, this action-horror animation delivers supernatural thrills and adventure set before Van Helsing’s battle with Count Dracula in Eastern Europe.

This is a single-disc DVD release from Universal Studios Home Video with a runtime of 30 minutes and a not-rated designation. The animated film includes bonus content featuring behind-the-scenes animatic-to-animation comparisons, an interview with Hugh Jackman, and material about the Van Helsing video game.
