Vacancy is a 2007 horror thriller written by Mark L. Smith. When a married couple’s car breaks down in a remote area, they have no choice but to check into a nearby motel for the night. While searching for something to watch, they stumble upon videotapes in their room and soon realize with mounting dread that these low-budget slasher films were all shot in the very space where they’re now trapped. Starring Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale, the film explores what happens when tourists become unwilling participants in a killer’s twisted game.
