Two and a Half Men is a comedy series that premiered in 2003, following the lives of three men sharing a Malibu beach house. Season nine, which aired in 2011, marked a significant shift for the show when original lead Charlie Sheen departed and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher. Kutcher plays Walden Schmidt, a wealthy Internet entrepreneur who purchases the mansion where brothers Alan and Jake have been living. The three men decide to become roommates, forming an unconventional family unit that drives the show’s humor. Jon Cryer returns as Alan, while Angus T. Jones reprises his role as Jake, and the ensemble navigates comedy through their new dynamic and living arrangement.
