Tivoli: Sin Cortes Sin Censura is a 1975 Mexican comedy-drama directed by Alberto Isaac and written by Isaac and Alfonso Arau. The film centers on the Tivoli, a burlesque theater in downtown Mexico City threatened with demolition by a corrupt mayor. As the theater’s artists fight to preserve their workplace, the film delivers sharp social commentary on Mexico’s political system, exposing how officials publicly condemn the venue as obscene while privately frequenting it and commissioning private performances at their mansions. Through humor and music, the story reveals the hypocrisy and double standards of those in power.

This single-disc DVD release runs 107 minutes and carries an IMDb rating of 6. The cast includes Alfonso Arau, Carmen Salinas, Ernesto Gómez Cruz, Lyn May, and Mario García ‘Harapos’. Own this piece of Mexican cinema history as a used physical copy from us.
