Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon is a 1985 action-comedy directed by Michael Schultz that blends martial arts, music, and humor into a distinctly 80s experience. Taimak stars as Leroy Green, a dedicated kung fu student who has mastered his craft but seeks to achieve the legendary inner power known as “the glow.” When he encounters nightclub hostess and video jockey Laura Charles, played by Vanity, he becomes her protector against a mobster and his schemes. Standing in his way is Sho’Nuff, the self-proclaimed Shogun of Harlem, who challenges Leroy’s martial arts supremacy. The film also features Faith Prince and Christopher Murney in supporting roles.

This single-disc DVD release runs 109 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from Tri-Star Pictures. The soundtrack features music from the era, with performances that complement the film’s blend of action sequences and comedic moments. A used copy lets you experience this cult favorite from the 1980s without the full retail investment.
