John Mayall’s The Turning Point is a live album recorded in 1969 at the Fillmore East that marked a significant shift in the blues musician’s artistic direction. Moving away from heavy electric guitar work, Mayall embraced a more intimate sound built around acoustic and slide guitars, complemented by bass, saxophone, flute, and percussion. The album became his first gold record and remains his most commercially successful release.

This CD features eight tracks from that historic performance plus three bonus performances from the same night, including “The Laws Must Change,” “California,” and “Thoughts About Roxanne.” Own a piece of blues history with this used copy.
