Created by James L. Brooks and Allan Burns, The Mary Tyler Moore Show debuted in 1970 as a groundbreaking sitcom centered on Mary Richards, a single woman in her thirties who moves to Minneapolis to start fresh. After landing a job as an assistant producer at the local news station WJM, Mary builds a found family with her coworkers and neighbors, including her best friend Rhoda. Starring Mary Tyler Moore alongside Edward Asner, Gavin MacLeod, John Amos, and others, the series combines intelligent writing with realistic portrayals of independent life and workplace dynamics, establishing itself as one of television’s most influential comedies.

This complete first season arrives on four DVDs with a total runtime of 12 hours, containing all 24 episodes from the Emmy-winning inaugural run and rated TV-PG. The collection includes the acclaimed pilot episode and memorable installments that showcase the show’s character-driven humor and strong ensemble cast. Grab this beloved sitcom on physical media at a used price that won’t drain your wallet.
