Four older women sharing a Miami home became the heart of this groundbreaking 1985 NBC sitcom. Betty White, Rue McClanahan, Estelle Getty, and a talented ensemble cast brought to life characters whose distinct personalities and perspectives on friendship, aging, and life’s possibilities resonated far beyond the typical sitcom formula. Created by writers including Susan Harris and Mort Nathan, the show balanced sharp humor with genuine emotional depth, proving that a comedy centered on mature women could captivate audiences and reshape television.

Season 1 arrives on three DVDs with nearly 12 hours of content, including all 25 episodes rated TV-PG and directed by Jim Drake, Paul Bogart, and Terry Hughes. This used copy lets you own a piece of television history at a fraction of retail cost.
