Director Alicia Scherson’s 2013 Italian drama follows two orphaned siblings, Bianca and Tomas, as they struggle through adulthood on dangerous streets. When Tomas and his gym friends devise a scheme to rob Maciste, a former bodybuilder and aging film star now living blind in a decaying mansion, they manipulate Bianca into seducing him to gain access to his fortune. What unfolds is a complex psychological exploration as an unexpected bond forms between the young woman and Rutger Hauer’s reclusive character, forcing Bianca to confront her own moral choices. Adapted from Roberto Bolaño’s “Una Novelita Lumpen,” the film blends thriller elements with erotic tension and philosophical depth.

This single-disc DVD release runs 94 minutes and is not rated. Strand Releasing presents this unclassifiable work featuring Alessandro Giallocosta, Luigi Ciardo, Manuela Martelli, and Nicolas Vaporidis alongside Hauer.
