The Fast and the Furious is a 2001 action thriller directed by Rob Cohen and released by Universal Pictures. Vin Diesel stars as Dominic Toretto, a street-racing enthusiast who becomes the target of an undercover investigation. Paul Walker plays Brian O’Conner, a cop who infiltrates Toretto’s racing crew to gather evidence about a series of big-rig hijackings. As Brian gets closer to the gang and develops feelings for Toretto’s sister Mia, played by Jordana Brewster, he faces an increasingly difficult choice between his duty to the law and his loyalty to the people he has come to know. The film also features Michelle Rodriguez and Rick Yune.
