Guiomar Novaes, the renowned Brazilian pianist, performs a selection of Frédéric Chopin’s Romantic-era compositions on this 1994 recording. The program features some of Chopin’s most celebrated works, including the Ballades No. 3 and No. 4, the Polonaises in A Flat Major and F Sharp Minor, the delicate Berceuse, and the famous Etudes “Butterfly” and “Black Keys,” along with additional Ecossaises.

This single-disc CD was released by Vanguard Classics and captures Novaes’ interpretations of these piano masterworks. A fine addition to any classical collection, this used copy lets you experience these timeless compositions at a fraction of the cost of a new release.
