TAPS is a 1981 drama directed by Harold Becker about military cadets who rebel against the closure of their academy. When Bunker Hill Military Academy faces demolition by real estate developers planning to build condominiums on the site, students led by Cadet Major Brian Moreland (Timothy Hutton) organize a school-wide uprising. Joined by fellow cadets Alex (Sean Penn) and David (Tom Cruise), they seize control of the campus and win over headmaster Colonel Hardin (George C. Scott). Their defiance escalates into a confrontation with the U.S. Army as they fight to save their institution from destruction.

This single-disc DVD presents the film in its original aspect ratio with a runtime of two hours and six minutes and carries a PG rating from Twentieth Century Fox. A used copy gives you a chance to own this drama about youthful idealism and institutional loyalty without the cost of a new release.
