Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble perform at Toronto’s El Mocambo club in this 1983 concert film. Captured early in his career, Vaughan showcases his blues mastery alongside drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon on the intimate stage. His playing ranges from fiery and funky to graceful and controlled, with clear influences from Jimi Hendrix evident in his technique and song choices, including covers of Hendrix material. The performance captures an authentic blues artist fully immersed in his craft, displaying the magnetism and physical command that defined his presence.

Released in 1991 by Chum City, this DVD features 63 minutes of unrated live music directed by Dennis Saunders. The single disc preserves a snapshot of Vaughan at a pivotal moment in his rise to prominence, before his tragic death in 1990. Own this piece of blues history on physical media at a used price.
