Stargate SG-1 is a science fiction action series that debuted in 1997, following Air Force Colonel Jack O’Neill and his elite SG-1 team as they journey through a mysterious stargate portal to explore distant worlds. Created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner, the show expands the premise of the original film with a cast including Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, and others as they encounter alien civilizations-some friendly, others dangerous. When the stargate facility on Earth comes under attack, O’Neill and his team must return to the planet of Abydos to prevent further invasions, launching a series of high-stakes missions across the galaxy.
