Farscape is an Australian science fiction series that premiered in 1999, created by Rockne S. O’Bannon and developed by David Kemper. The show stars Ben Browder as John Crichton, an Earth astronaut who accidentally travels through a wormhole and finds himself stranded in a distant galaxy. Desperate and far from home, Crichton joins a group of escaped prisoners aboard Moya, a living spacecraft, and becomes entangled in complex alien politics while searching for a way back to Earth. Alongside Browder, the ensemble cast includes Claudia Black, Gigi Edgley, Anthony Simcoe, Jonathan Hardy, and David Franklin.

This DVD collection contains eight episodes from season one across four discs, with a total runtime of approximately 18 hours and 21 minutes. Rated TV-PG, the set was produced by Jim Henson Television and Hallmark Entertainment for Nine Networks and aired on the SCI FI channel.
