Stalag Luft is a 1993 British war comedy directed by Adrian Shergold and written by David Nobbs. Stephen Fry stars as RAF Officer James Forrester, an arrogant pilot with an embarrassing record of 23 failed escape attempts and zero successful ones. Nicholas Lyndhurst plays the insubordinate “Chump” Cosgrove, while Geoffrey Palmer portrays the nervous Camp Kommandant. Set in a German prisoner of war camp, the film follows Forrester as he orchestrates an ambitious plan to free all 327 fellow prisoners in one daring operation, though his scheme has a critical flaw: he expects them all to escape simultaneously.

This single-disc DVD release runs 103 minutes and is unrated. Yorkshire Television produced this sharply-observed comedy drama that spoofs classic wartime escape films, bringing together some of Britain’s finest comic talents including Hugh Bonneville, David Bamber, and Sam Kelly. Own this witty take on POW camp adventures at a fraction of what you would pay for a new copy.
