Splice is a 2009 science fiction horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley as Clive and Elsa, two geneticists who push the boundaries of their field by secretly combining human DNA with animal genetic material. When their pharmaceutical employers reject their proposal to use human DNA in their hybrid experiments, the pair conduct their work in hidden labs, ultimately creating Dren, a creature possessing remarkable intelligence and physical capabilities. What begins as a triumph of scientific achievement quickly spirals into terror as Dren matures at an alarming rate, transforming from their greatest success into an existential threat.

This single-disc DVD release runs 104 minutes and carries an R rating from Warner Bros. The film blends body horror and psychological tension as the relationship between creators and creation deteriorates. Grab this used copy and experience the unsettling results of ambition without ethics.
