Host is a 2006 South Korean horror-science fiction film directed by Joon-ho Bong and written by Bong along with Chul-Hyun Baek and Won-Jun Ha. The story follows a family’s frantic struggle after a giant mutated creature emerges from Seoul’s Han River, a result of toxic waste dumping in the water. When the monster captures a teenage girl, her relatives must race against time to find and rescue her from the creature’s grasp.
