Michael Stillwater directs this 2012 documentary portrait of composer Morten Lauridsen, a recipient of the National Medal of Arts and recognized as one of the greatest living choral composers. The film explores Lauridsen’s life, artistic inspiration, and musical legacy through interviews and performances of his work by vocal groups across America and Europe. Filmed in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Waldron Island in Washington, and Aberdeen, Scotland, the documentary offers insight into how the composer draws creative energy from solitude in nature.

This single-disc DVD runs 74 minutes and features the work of a composer celebrated as the most frequently performed modern choral voice in contemporary classical music. A hand-inspected copy of this documentary about one of America’s foremost choral masters is yours to keep.
