Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a 1964 stop-motion animated television special that follows a young reindeer whose glowing red nose makes him an outcast from the other reindeer games. When Rudolph meets Hermey, an elf with dreams of becoming a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, a determined prospector, the three embark on an adventure together. Their journey leads them to discover an island inhabited by misfit toys, and Rudolph becomes determined to help Santa rescue them. On Christmas Eve, when fog threatens to ground Santa’s sleigh, Rudolph’s extraordinary nose proves to be exactly what is needed to save the holiday.

This Blu-ray release contains two discs and runs 47 minutes, presented with a TV-G rating from NBC. The special features the voice talents of Billie Mae Richards, Burl Ives, Larry D. Mann, Paul Soles, and Stan Francis, with direction by Larry Roemer and a script by Romeo Muller based on the original story by Robert May and songs by Johnny Marks.
