Movie / Show Details

Rio Lobo is a 1970 Western directed by Howard Hawks in what would be his final feature film. John Wayne stars as a Union colonel who, in the aftermath of the Civil War, pursues those responsible for his friend’s death and recovers stolen gold. Alongside Wayne, Jennifer O’Neill and Jorge Rivero play former Confederate soldiers who join forces with the colonel to confront a bootlegger, a corrupt sheriff, and others who have wronged them. Hawks brings his signature style to the film with sharp dialogue, memorable characters, and a strong ensemble cast working together toward their common goal.
