Takashi Miike directs this 2014 Japanese horror-drama starring Hideaki Ito, Hitomi Katayama, and Kô Shibasaki. When a theater company stages a classical play centered on a vengeful ghost and an abusive relationship, the line between performance and reality begins to dissolve. An actor pulls strings to cast his lover in the production, but as rehearsals intensify, the dark themes of the play start to manifest in their actual relationship, blurring the boundaries between staged drama and genuine obsession.

This is a single-disc Blu-ray release from Shout. Factory with a runtime of 93 minutes and a not-rated designation. Miike’s exploration of how art can corrupt life offers a haunting meditation on jealousy, performance, and the dangers of confusing fiction with truth. Grab this used copy and experience the unsettling atmosphere without the new price tag.
