Ninja Assassin is a 2009 action thriller directed by James McTeigue and written by J. Michael Straczynski and Matthew Sand. The film stars Rain as Raizo, a highly skilled assassin who was taken as a child and trained by the Ozunu Clan, a shadowy organization shrouded in secrecy. After witnessing the brutal killing of his friend at the hands of the Clan, Raizo breaks away and goes into hiding to plan his revenge. Meanwhile, Europol agent Mika Coretti, played by Naomie Harris, discovers a financial connection linking multiple political assassinations to a network of untraceable killers operating from the Far East. Determined to uncover the truth despite orders to stand down, Mika pursues the investigation into classified files, setting her on a collision course with Raizo’s quest for vengeance.
